Well, how are you creating the files?
If you are using "backup", that creates a directory structure that (mostly) duplicates what is on a BD, and players that like that sort of thing will treat them as a "disk".
If you use the "Open and save as MKV files" option, you get one MKV file for each ripped video title. That applies to BOTH DVD and BD; But only BD can use the "backup" option.
