I have been purchasing the blu-rays for TV series from moviesrusa for several years and their media were easily read by MakeMKV.
My last two purchases, Apple's "Foundation Season 3" and Netflix's "The Witcher Season 4", MakeMKV can not read.
I am using the latest 1.18.2 versions of MakeMKV.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
All four MakeMKV_log.txt files are similar ...

A couple more notes:
HandBrake has no problems reading the (F:) The Witcher Season 4/BDMV/STREAM/*.m2ts files.
Tried a different DVD, Blu-Ray DVD and 4K Blu-Ray DVD, all were readable implying the reader is working correctly.

That site sells BD-R discs which are more prone to read and write errors than commercial disks.

I agree, that site has a unique business model ... not sure how they get their permissions to copy/release these videos.
However, I have been grateful they exist because I have been able to get copies of some great TV series: Foundation, Witcher and Wheel Of Time.
Wheel Of Time (released periodically since 2021) had three seasons, six disks that MakeMKV read without any errors/problems.
The first three seasons of the Witcher, (released periodically since 2019) six disks, which MakeMKV read without any errors/problems.
The first two seasons of Foundation (released periodically since 2021), six disks, which MakeMKV read without any errors/problems.
From 2019 to early 2025, I had no errors/problems with their disks. After the 2025 release of the Wheel Of Time disks, all their disks (I have purchased) are suddenly unreadable by MakeMKV.
NOTE: HandBrake was able to rip the last two Foundation and last two Witcher disks without any errors/problems.
Why can Handbrake read the disks when MakeMKV cannot?

Re: Makemkv can't read blu-ray dvds from moviesrusa.[net biz]
Handbrake is more tolerant of errors. I use it to compress videos from over-the-air TV which may have dropouts in bad weather. It will make a copy with the glitches included.
MakeMKV is used to make exact copies of the movies from commercial disks. The log file indicates it sees errors which it cannot fix by re-reading that section.
The BD-R disks you have likely have no encryption so Handbrake is a better choice to convert them into .mkv files. Turn off MakeMKV integration and try opening the disc in Handbrake. If you are comfortable with command line tools, look into FFmpeg which underlies Handbrake.
Another approach is to use a File Manager to copy the disk files after mounting it.
It's unlikely that MakeMKV will change and there are other tools available for you.

Re: Makemkv can't read blu-ray dvds from moviesrusa.[net biz]
THANKS jinx100, for the great explanations and your patience!!
"It's unlikely that MakeMKV will change and there are other tools available for you."
This is exactly what I needed to know, i.e. it is not MakeMKV. And not my use/understanding of MakeMKV.
Very comfortable with command line tools, so will take a look into FFmpeg. I have read about it but didn't know it underlies HandBrake.
Thanks again!
