Hello I need some help. I have an MKV file that I can play directly on LG CX via usb but it has green blue tint. I know this is because tv cannot play DV from MKV. Audio is ATMOS and it works fine. I need to convert this file into a MP4 DV so that it will play properly on CX. I tired using DVDFAB but the ripper cannot recognize the MKV file.
Here is the media info

Dolby Vision MKV to MP4
Re: Dolby Vision MKV to MP4
It sounds like you have a Dolby Vision Profile 5 MKV.
You are going to run into two issues here: 1.) MP4 container doesn't support chapters (not a huge issue, but one to be aware of), 2.) MP4 Container does not support HD audio tracks (i.e. Dolby TrueHD)
Try this:
Install the following if you don't already have them:
1.) MKVToolNix
2.) gMKVExtractGUI
3.) FFMPEG
4.) MP4Muxer
- Use gMKVExtractGUI to extract all of the streams/tracks from your Dolby Vision Profile 5 MKV.
- Use ffmpeg to convert your Dolby TrueHD audio track into Dolby Digital (AC3) or Dolby Digital + (E-AC3). You will lose ATMOS and will be limited to 5.1 surround as ffmpeg conversion only supports up to 6 channels.
- Use MP4Muxer to remux all of the streams/tracks into a new MP4 container.
Play resulting MP4 back on your LG TV.
