Chapter Access from a MKV backup Possible?

While I don't usually care, when ripping a movie, if I have individual chapter access, I would like to get chapter access on my BR Concert Videos. If I do a full decrypted backup, will that allow chapter access, and if so, could it be played back by Plex - or if not, by what?

Does the source have chapters?

MakeMKV will put whatever chapters are in the source into the resulting .mkv file. Media Info (https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo) will tell you what chapter information is in a .mkv file.

Access to chapters on a BACKUP would depend on the play list selected. Directly accessing the transport stream files may not make them available.

MakeMKV will generally include the chapter track when going to MKV files.
