BSG - "The Plan" giving me a headache!

First of all, MakeMKV is incredible, and I will happily pay once it's ready. I've ripped a number of disks without any glitches, but I've had some real problems with Battlestar Galactica - The Plan.
MakeMKV works just fine, but the resulting file is pretty effed up on my system.
- In Handbrake, I get: "Scanning title 1 of 1...", then "No Valid Source Found."
- In VLC, just trying to play it, I get this and then audio only: "No suitable decoder module. VLC does not support the audio or video format 'undf'. Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this."
- Quicktime stutters and chokes, giving me *maybe* one frame every five seconds or so sporadically.
- Visualhub is just a mess anyway, but also just chokes and dies.
The blu-ray disc seems to be encoded with VC-1 instead of h.264, so I was wondering if it's just a playback issue on the Mac with Windows Media stuff so I've tried re-ripping and playing back using a plethora of programs, both on Snow Leopard as well as in Windows 7 via Parallels, but it's just not doing it. I have the latest version of perian, flip4mac, MakeMKV, I've messed around with Pavtube junk (which actually works fine if I use AnyDVD HD first, which means I'd have to pay for both programs which seems like overkill if I'm just missing something simple).
Thanks for any help!
