I have used MakeMKV for the first time with my Mac desktop. The video has worked but there is no audio, even when converted using SmartConverter to play on either Apple TV or iPad. What have I done wrong?

Without some sort of log to look at, any response is a guess, especially since you have another program involved in the process.

Some audio encodings cannot be played without special software.
