Evaluation period has expired.....

Just downloaded 1.8.8 and started to open a disc and received the "Evaluation period has expired. Please purchase an activation key if you've found this applicaiton useful. You may still use all free functionality without any restrictions." warning. But when I hit OK is just pops me back to the open disc menu. This is what shows up in the text area at the bottom of the app:

Using direct disc access mode
Evaluation period has expired, shareware functionality unavailable.
Failed to open disc


Any help would be much appreciated thank you.
