MakeMKV will not open

I just downloaded the latest version of MakeMKV and am now getting the following error message.
“MakeMKV” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
I then tried downloading a previous version and still get the same message.
Any ideas? I'm running OS X 10.9
