problems converting Video_TS files

Hi, I am new to MakeMKV and having some trouble with it. Hopefully you can tell me what I am doing wrong....
I have a BUNCH of movies stored on a Drobo HDD that are ripped using MDRP. Most of them are in Video_TS format stored in DVD Player Media Document "containers" created at the time of ripping by MDRP.
I am looking to use MakeMKV to convert them to MKV format, but MakeMVK does not recognize the files. They are all greyed out in the drop down source selection box. It is the same for .AVI files.

My system is a iMac running 10.8.3 with the Drobo attached via Firewire 800.
I need to convert these files since I am using Plex as the media server and player streaming the movies over my internal LAN.
I assume that (if I can get it to work) MakeMVK would be the best tool to get the conversion done. I would like to not lose any quality (video, audio) on my existing library.
Thanks for any help!

Are you sure they are stored as video_ts items? In this case you need to open video_ts.ifo from video_ts directory. Do you have IFO files?

Yes, they on my HDD stored as Video_TS under DVD Player Media Document (see screenshot #1 - 6.58.35, and #2 - 6.56.37).
Under the drop down for "Open Files" I see the movie being greyed out and can not open it (screenshot 3 - 7.00.59).
Also, note that the .AVI file is greyed out as well.
I have chosen All Video Files in the "Files of Type" drop down. Even if I chose DVD-video files (VIDEO_TS.IFO), they are still greyed out.
I do not think that I have IFO files?
Again, thnx for any help and guidance!
