Hi,

I recently deleted the MakeMKV.app from the Applications folder, but when I try to resinstall it from the dmd I get an OS X error which says "MakeMKV.app is damaged" and I have the option to move it to the trash. I've tried opening a dmg for an older version but it gives me the same error for that, too. I've tried running it from the Applications folder and directly from the dmg without success.

Can anyone tell me how I go about reinstalling it?

I've looked into this and it seems that you get this error when a Mac app changes in some way and doesn't match it's security certificate. Not sure, but the app/dmg may be infected with malware. I created another user, downloaded and re-installed MakeMKV and now it's working again. Think I'll be doing a re-install of Mountain Lion, soon.
