I've downgraded to 1.7.7 because 1.7.8 always locks up when ripping. It never gets vary far into the rip before it just locks hard and I have to go to the shell and do a kill -9 on the process

Anyone else notice this problem?

ok - 1.7.7 also constantly freezes. i guess the 'puter needs a reboot. going to try 1.7.8 after a reboot and see if magic happens.

OK - seems it can't rip The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy either (Rush Snakes and Arrows is also a problem).

1.7.7 and 1.7.8 both lock up hard a couple mins into the rip

Done (for Rush Snakes and Arrows). I also updated to 1.7.9 and had same problem.
