I have used makemkv to successfully rip several DVDs. I ran into a strange problem with two of them though. The first few minutes of the movie has the zoom (not sure if that's the right term) set so that it's a small 16x9 screen in the middle of my TV (black bars all around the TV). After a few minutes it switches to normal, filling the entire screen. I know it's not my TV or media player setting because it has no problem with other movies. Is there a setting or something I need to make sure it set properly to avoid this?

I figured out the problem. After looking at the original DVD, that's the way it is supposed to look for the first few minutes. So there is no problem.
