So, I am new to this, and I am not hip to all the tech terms so as you can probably tell i am having a hard time.

I was able to download the mac version of makemkv to my mac mini.
os system monterey
drive is lg bp60nb10
mkv shows it is mt1959

I was able to download and drag over the all you need firmware.
not able to download or unzip the sdf file.
I have tried to download zip readers and it states file not accessible. unable to expand sdf.bin it is in an unsupported format. I have even tried the newer file sdftool flasher.exe with no success.
is there a certain zip drive i need to down load, flash drive, what because this small piece has been taxing. Any guidance would be appreciated. Before my wife gets mad at me for being on this too long. lol

sdf.bin is not a file that needs to be unzipped. It is a binary file that needs to be available on your system so the flashing can happen.

Put sdf.bin and the relevant firmware file (from the all you need firmware pack) in a folder somewhere. You could make a temporary folder on your desktop to hold them.

Make sure you've got MakeMKV installed.

You'll need to use Terminal to execute commands to flash your drive.

Thank you for the reply. I’ve downloaded and installed everything and my system just doesn’t like something about it. I even deleted everything out and downloaded it all over again. I went ahead and ordered a pioneer drive.
