MakeMKV crashing with Fatal Error

Hi Guys,
spun up MakeMKV this morning on my 2019 mac pro (v12.3.1) and got a spinning wheel and then a fatal error dialog box, only option to quit)
Upgraded to the latest MakeMKV and the same thing.. spinning wheel... ('downloading latest SDF...) is the latest log message in the screen and then NADA..
This is an compatibility with the lastest OS X version?

Does MakeMKV have permission to read & write to necessary folders in the Privacy tab of the Security & Privacy preference?

I've enjoyed MakeMKV for quite a while, and paid for it too. Thanks for your product
However, version 1.17.0 is unusuable for me. I'm getting the Fatal error message, just as it starts extracting from any DVD Video or BD disc, after confirming accessing removable volume. Reverted back to 1.16.7, where same discs execute with no problems.
One extra log line before afterburner=1 line in v1.17

I'm running Macos 12.13.1 on a mac mini M1 chip. No problems running previous MakeMKV version.

Having the same problem. Running Ventura OS. MakeMKV was working fine for several days -- able to rip DVDs from my collection, as well as Blu-Rays. Then, suddenly, I opened the app and got a fatal error with no other options but to exit.
I tried this with the latest Beta of MakeMKV, and even installed an older version (1.17.6) and got the same error message.
Kinda stuck.
