Usage with MacBook

So I’ve decided to break down my old tower server that I used with my Blu Ray drive. I am gonna repurpose the actual drive for use with my MacBook Pro. Have others used the application on external BD drives with Macs and macOS? I know the core OS itself doesn’t play nice with BD. Thanks.

I am currently using MakeMKV on Big Sur on Intel with 3 different external, USB connected drives. I have also briefly tested it on Big Sur on M1. Both have worked fine for me.
