Are there instructions on how to do this? Can I send this drive to someone along with a check to perform this operation?

yeah linked below i dont do the send in service anymore.
you just have to buy direct.
if you were on windows you could buy mine or martys automated flasher

When I read the message I said that this is a link to buy another drive not a flash update service. My bad. My wife has a PC so I plan to use that to update the drive.

Archgon is just the brand for the combination burner + enclosure. And - please toggle the switch. Brain on.
