I just updated to version 1.10.3 (Get info says it's 1.10.3), but when I check the About MakeMKV menu it indicates the version is v1.10.0 and the latest available is 1.10.3. 1.10.1 is also what is displayed as the first line in the log.

It would helpful and comforting to have consistency.

Consistency is there, as you can see.
Issue must be with your system.
