I tried to rip a BD and I got a error message. So, to test if everything was OK, I tried ripping another BD that I successfully ripped a few years ago with the same BD drive and even that one didn't work anymore...

OS X 10.11.4, MakeMKV 1.9.10

Error message for the BD that was ripped a few years ago:

Seems to be an OS issue: I tried with another MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.5 and it works. Permissions maybe?

Error 'OS error - (ipc/send) invalid destination port' occurred while reading '/AACS/ContentHash000.tbl' at offset '0'
The operating system is not talking to the drive properly. Usually this means the drive is considered "off line". If it were Windows I'd suggest powering down and restarting. Might work for OS X as well.

Yes, I did try that, made no difference. Maybe then the DASPI driver is the problem? I'll try without it tomorrow.

Thanks for the hint.

Mike posted a message a year or so back that said that DASPI should ONLY be installed if MakeMKV asked for it... It was always needed in the past, but newer versions of OS X usually worked fine without it.

Oh, you mean like this message http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic ... 635#p28051 where Mike was telling that to... me?

In my defence, that was almost three years ago...

Thanks.

Ripped without a hitch with DASPI removed. Thanks!
