MakeMKV giving me this error: application version is too old

"This application version is too old. Please download the latest version at / or enter a registration key to continue using the current version."

I figured my trial was up, time to re-download. That didn't fix issue. Also doesn't work with any other Mac user, and using the key does not work.

Set your system date to 2014-07-20. Start MakeMKV. You can return the system date to current after it is running.

NOW you can apply the new beta key.
