Using 1.7.9 and get error "application version too old"

Post by decooda » Wed Jan 02, 2013 2:13 am

I am getting the following error on my Mac - "This application version is too old. Please download the latest version at http://www.makemkv.com or enter a registration key to continue using the current version." I can then "register" or hit "okay." If I hit register it is asking me for a registration code. I have a LGBE14 Bluray player/recorder attached to my i7 MacBook Air with all latest software updates. Any ideas...anyone???

Let's see... first of the month... Beta key has probably expired.

In the Announcements section of the forum, there is a topic "MakeMKV is free while in beta". The date never changes on it, but the text does. The current beta key is valid until the "end of January 2013".

I am getting the same message. Restarted and reinstalled the software from a new download (1.7.9) twice but no go. Not even sure how I could use the option to register.

Ah! Just reread the post above. You have to go to that announcement and get the beta code to use for the "register" option.
