MakeMKV not recognised?

Hi, I put in the code for this month, and then got an error every time I tried to run it.
When I entered it, it accepted it and then crashed. Every time I try to open it it says "Fatal error occurred, programme will now exit." Every time I tried to run MakeMKV, it said the same thing and crashed.

I thought it best to delete the app, re-download it, and put in the key again, Now it's giving me a different error, saying that it could not be opened because it couldn't be verified that this isn't malware.

Can anyone help? thank you

You're probably running into macOS's Gatekeeper. There are ways to make your Mac run software that isn't notarized: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445

The short, short version is open System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> scroll down and click the Open Anyway button
