I've used Makemkv on Macs for years.
I recently changed my iMac for a Mac mini M1
I downloaded the App and generally it works fine..but
Despite allowing the program access to folders in System settings it still asks each time
After a Rip finishes and I eject the Disc the App drops its connection to the attached Blu Ray ripper and I have to restart the App after the Blu Ray ripper has started accessing the next blu Ray disc.
Neither problem is major but if there is a fix it would be nice.
