Redundant notifications (Dock, window, NC)

#1 Post by Ravenwood » Mon Oct 14, 2013 8:14 pm

First, thanks for a great program. I will probably buy a license soon.

Now, to my question. When Makemkv has done its thing, I get notified in 3 ways: bouncing Dock icon, an alert window, and a notification from Notification Center. I only need one notification, the one from NC. For reference, Handbrake gives an option between alert window and NC. Apple themselves are moving from alert window to NC in Mavericks: http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.ph ... tcount=184

The alert windows and bouncing icon are done automatically by OSX, as MakeMKV shows a dialog box. I'm not sure if it is possible at all to disable these in this case.

Just to be clear, when I said alert window I meant the window that says something like "1 title completed" and an OK button. If the bouncing and this window can't be separated, then I don't mind getting rid of both. Of course, I don't know how many who would prefer the current behaviour. But the options in other third party apps seems to indicate that people don't like bouncing icons.
