No Longer Able to Rip after MacOS 13.0.1 Ventura

#1 Post by rwzmjl » Fri Dec 02, 2022 8:50 pm

I keep getting this error:

Error 'OS error - (ipc/send) invalid destination port' occurred while reading 'BD-RE HL-DT-ST BD-RE WH16NS60 1.02 KLHL2594405'

I've tried multiple discs, and everything worked perfectly before I updated to Ventura. What do I do? The disc shows up in Finder, then I start up MakeMKV, and the disc disappears.

Have you tried power cycling your optical drive? I'm not running Ventura, so this is just a guess.

As in turn it off and on? Definitely did a bunch of times. Using the same power supply as I did before.

Okay, it looks like the USB extension cord I've been using for the last year just decided to stop working at the exact time I upgraded to Ventura.
