wont recognize external disk drive

after doing some research, i foundout that makemkv wont recognize my drive.
here is the debug code

The program can't find any usable optical drives.

I have no idea what to ;-;

MakeMKV asks the operating system about optical drives. Right now, your system says there are none.

Does the drive show up in Finder? What happens if you unplug the drive, then replug it?

it doesn't show up in the finder, yet it shows up when i go to >About this mac>storage

Is it AC powered? Some non powered USB drive might not be available.
