Suggestion for the Mac OS X version of MakeMKV

#1 Post by horkonpon » Thu Sep 29, 2016 6:34 pm

Hi,

When MakeMKV is not capable to rip a BR, he make an TGZ file with the information of the BR to send to you to make the SVQ file. It's Ok, but there is a problem. The TGZ file is created in the folder Users/<user_name>/.MakeMKV that is a hidden folder by default, so its necessary to open the terminal to make the hidden files and folders visibles, copy the file in other location and return to terminal window to hide the files and folders again.

So it would be a good idea to put the TGZ file in a non hidden folder.

Thanks in advance
Greetings
Alberto

Preferences->General

Set the MakeMKV data folder to a path that is visible to Finder.

That will be where MakeMKV stores all further files, and you can also put custom profile XML files in that directory, so that they stay safe across version updates.
