Does anyone know if it is possible to defeat Riplock on this drive?
If so, could someone point me in the correct direction

When you load MakeMKV, does it display information about LibreDrive in the right-hand window? You may have to load a disk in the drive for it to display.
If not, then there's nothing MakeMKV can do to manipulate the drive's speed. If it does display information, it will have a section on drive speed.
