App window gets crazy big on its own

I recently bought a license for MakeMKV at the same time that I upgraded the app to 1.15.4

This version of the app has an odd behavior that the previous version didn't have: At each launch the app window insists on expanding all the way to the left and right sides of the screen.

I can resize the window smaller. But it doesn't always stay the size that I request. Sometimes It changes itself again. It's frustrating when I want to see other windows (especially something in the Finder).

I removed all prefs and app files for MakeMkv from my user library and then launched MakeMKV. This did not eliminate this quirky behavior.

I use MakeMKV 1.15.4 on macOS Mojave (10.14.6) and I do not have that behavior. What version of macOS are you using?
