I've used makemkv for awhile now to convert my blu ray movies to mkv. So far everything has been running smoothly. However, today I tried ripping the "Fight Club" blu ray movie and my mac's CPU usage goes to 100%. Usually, it hovers around 35% when I'm ripping a blu ray. Makemkv is still functional and responsive but the drive speed drops from 2.0x to 0.5x. Looking at iStat Menus drive speed option, I see that my Blu Ray drive is reading at full speed (8.0 mb/s) but no data is being written to my hard drive. Makemkv's memory usage does increase. The file size of the .mkv that is being created gets to around 70mb and doesn't increase after that. I've tried playing with makemkv's buffer size but that doesn't help.
What can I do? Any suggestions?

But does it create MKV file after all? Please enable debug logging per http://www.makemkv.com/faq/item/8/catid/6
