mkv file crashes VLC but not Plex

Hi,

I ripped an episode of Sons of Anarchy from DVD which crashes VLC every time I try and seek forward into the show.
I just tested the same file in Plex, and it worked fine.

However, I have many other .mkv files which I've downloaded, and all seem to work fine in VLC.

The debug shows very little:

I ripped an episode of Firefly from DVD, which encounters the same problem.
Is anyone else having similar issues?

EDIT: I don't know if it will be of any help to anyone on these boards, but I also have the VLC crash log if required.

I have the same issue here.

Have tried several versions of VLC (1.02, 1.03, 1.05) all have the same problem.

File plays correctly in MPlayer Extended.

I havn't got a single mkv file from MakeMKV that doesn't make VLC crash when searching in the vdeo.

VLC seems to have issue with MKVs in general.
