Is there any software for the Mac which will allowe me to extract the PGS subtitle files from m2ts files produced by the MakeMkV backup function? I'm making backups of BR disks and then using HandBrake to convert the m2ts files to regular mp4 files that I can watch using my Apple TV. Because I live in Norway and a lot of my friends want subtitles I want to rip the PGS subtitles, convert them to srt files and then include them during the handbrake encode. Problem is, I'm having trouble finding software that will give me the PGS files and help me convert them to srt on the Mac. Seems I need a windows computer to do this.
The reason I rip my disks as m2ts and not mkv is due to the fact that I cannot get VLC to reliably play the mkv files produced by MakeMKV, despite the fact that I'm using the latest version of MakeMKV and the latest nightly build of VLC.
Extracting PGS subtitles
Re: Extracting PGS subtitles
MKVtoolnix will allow you to extract them from an MKV:

So basically you'll need to make MKV's and then extract the PGS subs.
Do you know of a good way to convert PGS to SRT? I'm interested in doing this myself. Perhaps the software can be run in Wine.
