I also have the ASUS external BD player:

So far it's been working great with the iMac 21.5" and also with an old Windows XP machine that I have. It's a bit noisy though, but I guess that's how all external players are...
Which external blu ray player would work best with my mac?

Anyone try this one with their Mac and MakeMKV? I'm tempted to give it shot for under $70 but, figured I'd see if anyone else has any comments on it. I see good comments in the reviews. Also, like how it's white and kinda goes with all my Apple products

I'm looking for a slim USB blu-ray drive for my MacBook Pro under $75 if possible to use with MakeMVV. Any suggestions?
If possible I'd like it to rip 2X or faster

I am using this drive to rip blu-ray discs to my iMac. I got it off of Newegg for $99 I believe. I've ripped 10 or so discs with it so far, and it has worked perfectly. The nice thing is that the cord has two USB prongs that you plug into the computer to power it. No power adapter required. I use it with a powered 4 port USB hub.
