I'm having this problem, too. Neither Java path that Mike posted worked for me.

Look in each of the paths he provided to see if you can find an instance of the 'java' executable. Your paths may be different than mine. It would require that you have Java installed of course.

That's what's confusing - I've never installed Java on either of my machines, and up until this latest version I'd never seen this error before. On my Windows machine I was able to rip the Blu-ray anyway despite the error.

Then your first step would be to install Java. Once you do that you should be able to confirm the path needed.

The Java install isn't required for every disc. I hit the error on those discs using some of those irritating copy protection schemes that show you 100 titles for what you want to rip.

For those without, it didn't generate the error. I suspect Windows reacts similarly.

Version 1.10.0 does not work on the Mac. Download the old version 1.9.9 and all is right again.

I installed Java and it didn't work.

I downgraded to MakeMKV 1.9.9 and that fixed the problem.

This is fixed in 1.10.1 . MakeMKV is now very good at finding Java - I bet it can find it even if you think you don't have it installed :)

I'm trying to rip Now You See Me 2 and I'm getting the Java error. This is on the Mac client and I'm using version 1.10.1.

I hadn't seen this error in a while, so I'm sad it's back. :(

UPDATE: Worth noting that once this happens, the OS X client doesn't do the cancel of the process when asked. The app gets stuck for a long time - you have to exit it.

I would guess that, when Java is needed, it will be a pain about it if you don't have it installed. It hasn't complained to me because I avoid Lionsgate disks now.

Definitely need an "IGNORE JAVA COMPLETELY" setting....
