I am trying to play a BluRay in VLC using the integration option in the MakeMKV preferences. With a disc loaded in MKV I can open the preferences and then click in the tab for integration. I then select the box for VLC and click apply.
I get a dialogue box asking for my admin password which I enter. The dialogue box disappears but the settings are not changed. The blue tick for VCL disappears and if I close the preferences and re-open them the integration with VLC is still not checked. This is confirmed when I try to play a Bluray in VLC and I get the error. "This Blu-ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it."
Any suggestions on how to fix this or a better way to enable Bluray playback in VLC?
Thanks

Can't setup Integration with VLC in Preferences
Re: Can't setup Integration with VLC in Preferences
VLC needs a symlink to the libmmbd library that comes with MakeMKV. Sometimes MacOS's security model messes it up. You might be able to create the appropriate link manually.
