Code 233 / no Log debug file created / no write access suspected.

Hello every one,
recently I've switched from windows to Linux, Bazzite 43 which is based on Fedora.
The program itself installed and starts without issues. I am also able to make Backups.
However every time I'm getting Debug Code 233. Even if I just open a BD before running anything, I'm getting Code 233.
I am suspecting that MakeMKV does not have write access to somewhere, since no "Log debug file" is created in /home/user.
That suspicion is also supported by the behaviour, that every time I restart the program, I'm getting the 30 days evaluation period message, even after activating the trial period.
Interestingly I'm able to create backups in the /home/user directory or other directories, but there is still no debug file and at the end of every backup I'm still getting Code 233.
As far as I know my user does have write access to the /home/user directory.
When I run the
command, everything looks fine in my opinion.
Does anyone have some suggestions on what the issue could be?
Many thanks!
