Fedora 43
Windows 10
MakeMKV version 1.18.2
Asus BW-16D1HT with Asus BW-16D1HT 3.10MK firmware (drive didn't work at all in Linux until I put the Libre drive firmware on)
Hello all! I searched the forums and found bits and pieces of relevant info, but thought I'd ask directly here in a new thread.
On the compiled Linux version, the version of AACS that shows upon first load is v65. In Windows 10, the immedate version is v85. This causes issues in Linux where a blu-ray won't load and make horrible seeking noises in the drive.
- AACS version changes to whatever the version is on the disc
- Time jumps to 3 hours + in its attempt to read and decrypt the disc
- After I cancel the process, the AACS version stays the same and I can no longer read even older blu-rays with a far lower AACS version. It can of course read DVDs
- Deleting both _private_data.tar files just makes MakeMKV download the SDF again and it will show the same AACS version and has the same issues
- Going back to Win 10 after it's in that error state, it still won't read Blu-rays
I should be able to get the SDF from _private_data.tar and re-flash, but want to see if something else is causing the issue.
Code: Select all
cd /root/.MakeMKV
