v1.16.3 Flatpak no longer recognizes optical drive

Have been using an external DVD drive with previous versions no problem. Updated via Flatpak and now MakeMKV no longer recognizes my drive. I receive error "The program can't find any usable optical drives." in the log field.
LG DVD Drive Model SP80NB80
I can mount and access the drive no problem via normal methods, and as mentioned, previous version worked perfectly fine. Not sure what changed in the latest version to break this.
Uninstalled and reinstalled via Flatpak to double check, restarted, same issues.
