I've been trialling MakeMKV for about 10 days now, and today it started providing the following dialog message at startup:

This application version is too old. Please download the latest version at / or enter a registration key to continue using the current version.

Based on my understanding I am still within the trial period (according to the app it was 30 days), and I see no indication that a new version exists on this site or forum. What is the problem?

The German version of the dialog box does not say anything explicitly about registration being an option to unlock the software. However, it does have a "Register" button. I just came across this forum post

which provides a preliminary registration key for MakeMKV beta. This seems to work.
