TruHD: bitstream parsing failed

Post by jabster » Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:29 pm

Hi.
I am trying to rip the blu-ray of Half-Blood Prince, and the video and AC3 come out fine, but I'm having problems with the trueHD.

My WDTV tells me the track is unsupported, and eac3to gives me the message:
bitstream parsing failed
Demuxing this track may still produce correct results - or not.

From mediainfo:
Audio #1
ID : 2
Format : TrueHD
Codec ID : A_TRUEHD
Codec ID/Info : Dolby TrueHD
Duration : 2h 33mn
Channel(s) : 6 channels
Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
Resolution : 24 bits
Title : 5.1
Language : English

I am trying to get the DTS core out of there, but no luck with eac3to: This audio conversion is not supported.

Any ideas?

Using makemkv 1.4.12 on mandriva 2010.0

thanks,
john

A known problem with eac3to, the next eac3to version will have it fixed. If you are interested only in TrueHD then see http://www.makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=887 for a workaround.
