Can I force 16:9 rip using VortexBox?

#1 Post by jzh797s » Mon Sep 19, 2011 8:29 pm

I am currently working through ripping my DVD collection and I have noticed that some are ripping as 4:3. I understand that the VortexBox version looks for the biggest file, but rather than setting the min file size and sorting myself... I was curious if there is a way to force MakeMKV to only rip the 16:9 on a disc that contains both 4:3 and 16:9. From my reading it appears that MakeMKV does look at aspect ratio.

There are a lot of things that it would be great to be able to do from command line. If you could tell MakeMKV to rip just the longest track that would be great. If you could tell it to rip the longest 4:3 or 16:9 that would really allow the command line version to be fully automated.
