I was trying to rip some dvds of rick and morty, when i showed a bunch of these error messages:
The source file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' is corrupt or invalid at offset 2811904, attempting to work around
The source file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' is corrupt or invalid at offset 2811904, attempting to work around

The source file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' is corrupt or invalid at offset 3014656, attempting to work around
and then this on the last episode on the disc:
Too many AV synchronization issues in file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' (title #-) , future messages will be printed only to log file
and then the time remaining started counting up rapidly, the progress bar barely moved and then it failed.
i tried it with 3 discs from 2 seasons and they all ended the same way. i then tried using the internal disc drive, and that seemed to work for the 2 seasons, but i try one of the seasons that was giving me trouble (took too long to open,) showed the same error on every episode.
luckily, the episodes i redid seemed to work properly.
my question is, is this a disc issue or a drive error or what? ive never seen the av synchronization error ever and the only talk on this forum are mainly about either older versions of the program or blue rays / uh dvds.
im using ubuntu Zorin OS 15.3 and the external is a lg BD-RE BP50NB40
