Makemkv 1.16.7 on Linux Mint (new)

#1 Post by dbyy49 » Thu Apr 07, 2022 2:30 pm

Hello,

I just did the first step into makeMKV and installed v 1.16.7 on Linux Mint v20.3.
After launching the app it responds with a message as attached to this post.
After I click 'ok' it's closing the app.
Did I made a mistake or what's going on here? I thought makeMKV has a 'free license'.
Thanks for taking the time reading this.
Any help is much appreciated.

MakeMKV is free while in beta

I've not used MakeMKV on Linux Mint but I assume it is like most other versions… one has to input the current 'free beta' key that can be found on these very forums.

FAQ about BETA and PERMANENT keys.

Since the beta version is expired, you have to "get the key" to run it. The key is in the link dcoke22 provided.

It expires every 60 days or so, so consider that for the future.
