Make mkv on ubuntu 16

I installed make mkv on Ubuntu 14 and it works great. In April I would like to update to Ubuntu 16. My question is will it still work after the upgrade?

I'm running it on Ubuntu 16.04 on a Qnap NAS and I have no issues.

I just upgraded to 16.04 and now my MakeMKV will not open - Failed to Initialize. I tried reinstalling MakeMKV with no luck. I'm troubleshooting now.
