Yesterday I was able to try makeMKV for the first time. I had tried running it from a linux software installation on my Thinkpad T-61 running Linux Mate 20.3 without success. I did some research and found an alternate way to install it via the command line. I have more questions about it but today it does not work due to the registration code having expired. Is there a way to try it further before committing to buying it? The site had downloads for Windows and Mac versions, but I need a Debian package. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Thanks, but I had already checked the FAQ and not finding what I need I wrote the post.
In the meantime I had great success using Handbrake so I no longer need another program. Incidentally, Handbrake is free.
