1.8.1 and 3D movies

Post by drhill »

Last week I started process of ripping all my movies some of which are 3D. I noticed the 3D movies I've ripped the last two days don't seem to indicate they have both video feeds when I use mediainfo on the file, compared to ones I ripped last week or before. Is this intentional? Am I missing both feeds?

I played a few files and they look fine and their do have a very high bit rate. I don't have anything that will actually play a 3d file in 3d, but I am trying to future proof.

If you open produced MKV file with MakeMKV, will it show 3D track?

Yep. It's in there. Must be a difference in how the mkv is filled out for how mediainfo reads that. Wish I thought to try to open the file through MakeMKV afterwards. It would have saved me 3 extraneous rips on one of my discs. =)
