I'm using Kubuntu 22.04.1 LTS fully updated as of yesterday. makemkv has been working fine as recently as about 3-4 days ago, but this morning it fails. I get a popup window labeled "MakeMKV BETA popup" that says 'Fatal error occurred, program will now exit.' I hit ok and the program goes away.
Anyone else having this issue?
I did a sudo snap uninstall makemkv and then reinstalled it. Same problem.
Currently what ever part of the snap infrastructure I'm pointing at has only 1.17.2 and I do see that there's a new version out. I can wait for the repositories to update or if someone can point me toward a differant way to install without actually building code I'll try that.
Thanks in advance
makemkv-1.17.2 stopped working completely
Re: makemkv-1.17.2 stopped working completely
OK, it hasn't completely stopped working. It either has to do with a specific disc or the fact that I had a disc in the drive when starting the program.
Starting the program again with nothing in the drive and then inserting a different disc it worked.
Never seen this problem in the past but glad it's not completely dead.
