Permissions issue with 1.15.3

#1 Post by chowbok » Wed Oct 14, 2020 7:23 am

I'm noticing now that MKVs I create have 666 file permissions, even though my umask is 0022. This behavior seemed to have started with 1.15.3, though I suppose it's possible something else changed on my system around the same time I upgraded. Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

Yes, I'm seeing the same for all files created for a mkv image or a full backup but directories have the correct umask. Skimming a diff between makemkv-oss-1.15.1 and makemkv-oss-1.15.3 doesn't immediately show the cause.

Hopefully this can be fixed in the next version.

This was never fixed. Can it be? It's inconvenient to have to change the permissions after every rip.

Is the behavior the same on the current 1.17.8 version?
