It is listed in the release notes as fixing the glibc dependency error....
"MakeMKV v1.7.9 ( 5.11.2012 )
Bug fixes:
Audio transcoding could fail on Windows 7 under some circumstances
MakeMKV no longer requires GLIBC 2.15 on Linux"
I havent see the file anywhere...
EDIT I see it in the old repos... it's there. Why does 1.7.9 fix this glib error Linux (like debian I am using) but NOT the newer 1.8.3 version?????
The older version works fine... hmmm that is really odd....
Where is linux v. 1.7.9?
Re: Where is linux v. 1.7.9?
Not really sure why this is happening but what happens when you run the GUI from terminal with debug?
Code: Select all
makemkv debug /dev/stdout
Mistakes are learning tools.

I did throw on Arch Linux, so glibc is not an issue now. But it is odd that the issue comes round again with a *newer* version. It was Debian 7. Maybe a VM would show you that it does not work.

Then it's a new bug. Please post what exact OS version causes trouble, preferably with the link to netinst iso.

Let me put together a debian 7 VM tonight and I will post the stdout of what you asked for. Thank you.
