Makefile improvements and desktop file

Hi,

the install target of the Linux makefile does not create $(DESTDIR)/usr/lib if this directory does not exist. When creating a Debian package, this directory normally does not exist. I improved the install target and added a desktop file. The desktop file and the icons will be installed by the install target. The patch is attached. Please apply the patch in the upstream source.
