Ubuntu linux, makemkvcon 1.15.1
Ripping BluRay works fine, no issues or performance degradation observed. When ripping DVD, however, performance is poor and it takes more time to rip DVD content than Bluray content (even though BluRay accounts for much more data being ripped overall). The only thing I've observed (so far) in the logs is complaining about a region issue on the drive. I have an external drive that rips just fine using MakeMKV on my Mac (1.17.1) but it also quite slow on the linux machine.
Any thoughts on how to figure out what's going on?
